It was a rainy, late autumn morning, which seemed calm, maybe a little bit too calm… that was untill a certain (definetly not a morning) person woke up. As the rained finally stopped, a couple of shy, mild sunrays were making their way through a rather small window waking up the carrot top lying on the white, silky bed. A groan escaped Ichigo’s lips as he was having an inner battle with himself. He just wanted to stay there in his warm and cosy bed, but he knew that he couldn’t do that under no matter what. Round emerald eyes opened slowly as the warm sun rays kissed his alabaster skin. He got up narrowing his eyes as he tried to get used to the dazzling light. A mild breeze was blowing through the large opened window, carrying with it the fresh scent of the ocean combined with the sweet flower scent. He could hear the waves from the afar, a thing that calmed him every time he did it, although he didn't know exactly why. Not that he cared. New YearsToday was New Years eve, and currently, Substitute Shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki was at a New Years party, held at the Soul Society, that he was unfortunately dragged into. All the shinigami at the party, were either drinking, eating, talking or laughing with each other as they reminisced about the year. Ichigo did have to admit that it was a good party, but he would have much preferred the plans he made earlier. Those plans were, to spend the entire day with Kuchiki Rukia, his girlfriend. Ever since his powers returned, the two were inseparable, just like old times, only this time they were more than friends.

Sadly, as soon as summer vacation was over, school started. That meant getting back to homework and waking up early. All of these daily issues were already a pain, but there was a new problem when Rukia got back to school. It seems that Chizuru, Mahana, Ryo, and Michiru, couldn't keep their mouths, or cell phones, shut. One summer day, when the girls were out shopping, they saw the two lovebirds on a date. It was the weekend, and Ulquiorra decided it was time to give Orihime a better idea of the vastness of HM Global.  Beyond the cafeteria, there were also gyms, training rooms, and even a fairly sizable library.  She wanted to linger here - after trying out a few machines in the gym, of course.

She squinted at the book shelves, reading the titles before her.  "I have never heard of most of these."  They seemed to be entirely non-fiction.

"It is just a small collection." He told her, watching.  "Most employees on this level are less inclined towards…knowledge."

Chapter One: Freezing the Heart

It was finally done.
And by him, no-less…
Everything was still for a moment. Hitsugaya was tense, in case Aizen had another trick up his sleeve. He breathed slowly, almost stopping and skipping breaths. He waited…for the last breath.
Aizen weakly make an attempt to pull himself off the sword. Hitsugaya's gaze intensified. Before he knew it he pushed the sword slowly deeper into the enemy's chest, burning with pure hatred to the very soul. Aizen's hand fell away and he cursed quietly "…Damn…it…!" Small drops off blood fell from his mouth.

‘Maybe she’s asleep…’ he thought.

Hitsugaya tried to self assure himself. She’s probably asleep, yea, she must be tired…

After waiting patiently for a few minutes she gently nudged the door open with one shoulder whilst balancing the paperwork precariously, desperate not to drop them, then she'd have to pick them up and she could end up running into Toshirou.

She set the stack of papers on the desk and sighed, she'd have to face him eventually.

'Stop being such a baby!' Her inner voice told her. 'Just tell him how you feel. What's the worst that could happen?'

    Where am I? I can't see anything; a dense darkness surrounds me as if the world I knew has vanished, as if the colors that painted my life turned all into black. It's so cold that I can't move my body. Somewhere, very far from me, I can hear a car. The sound is so faint that there's the possibility that I am imagining it. A cold wind starts to blow, making my body shiver. I can hear the wind whistling through some holes, whistling the song of loneliness. Again. Where am I?

The sun was setting down as the ship sailed seawards. The sky was painted in a deep orange color and the big crimson disk was getting eaten by the silver and orange water. The wind was blowing gently ruffling his long hair. They had a nice day with beautiful weather, but you never know what might happen at night. He knew that they had to be vigilant. He was the captain of the ship and he knew very well how the sea worked even tough he was still young, but he was smart. That's why he was the captain even tough society hated him. And of course, he was rich.

All Yuurei could do was stare at the clouds through the large opening in the forest whilst lifting an bandaged arm to her eyes to block out some of the sun. I didn't bother watching Yuki doing the impossible, all I did was stare at it. 'Why in the seven sins is it here?' I quickly thought to myself, as I watched the doors pull apart. The half body skeletons, with one eye hole wrapped up in bandages, staring down on Karakura town. The arms of both skeletons positioned at an angle to pull the gates open when it's summoned. The Gates Of Hell... Are opening.

A phantom which stained the snow in crimson blood... If someone told you that, you would automatically think that it's a lie, before they even finished, right? Karin asked herself again why she was there. In the human world she'd done everything possible to ignore or remove the effects of her high spiritual energy - seeing spirits, fighting hollows, she didn't want any of it. She wasn't her brother, and where as he felt the compassion to save every lost and lonely soul out there, they scared her, she felt their pain too much and it became her own, which only lead her to become angry at herself and her lack of care. So why the hell had she enrolled in the Shinigami Academy?
